St. Matthew's Church family gathers to celebrate times of joy and to
comfort one another in times of loss. Rev. Ross and the ministry
team are busy throughout the year offering guidance and support to
members of the community as they experience various life events and
rights of passage. Baptisms The United Church of Canada recognizes the Sacrament of Baptism as an important entry into the life and work of Christ's church at any age. Those interested in infant or adult baptism are invited to call the church office and make an appointment with Rev. Ross. Baptism is celebrate, on average, once a month and is always a part of our Sunday morning service. Communion The St. Matthew's Church family celebrates Holy Communion, or The Lord's Supper, on average once a month from September to May. All those who seek to follow Jesus and live in his way are welcome to participate in this meal of celebration during our Sunday morning service. Weddings Rev. Ross officiates at wedding ceremonies, both inside the church and outside, throughout the year. For a copy of our wedding policy and a conversation with Rev. Ross and the ministry team are regularly offering pastoral care and comfort to grieving families in the Quinte region.
